One of the latest projects done by three of our builders. This build was created over a two day period as part of a gruelling, but extremely exciting build battle, between a build team known as Solari and us.
Never before had we taken on a challenge like this. The judges provided quite an abstract theme, ‘Dictatorship’, and a very limited time window. Quite a task! The outcome was brilliant and even achieved a number one slot on /r/minecraft as thousands of others admired this feat of creativity.
Minecraft creative building is normally associated with fantasy settings and fictional creations but it can also be used to represent the real world. This is however very challenging as life is full of feeling and emotion. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, well a Gazamo build is worth a thousand more.
In Minecraft, organic builds depict living creations. Plant life, statues, animals or giant serpent monsters crushing the deck of a war galleon. All of these fall into the category.
These types of builds are some of the hardest to get right and often define a real creative.
Enjoy a weird and wonderful selection of some of our recent examples.
From time to time we like to give back to the community that raised us by building map packs. This particular map pack was focused around an Oriental style with a steam punk twist. Our packs contain everything you need to create amazing builds for personal use or public use and of course will always be 100% free.

Every now and then, one of our builders will go off randomly and create something awesome. Little sparks of creative impulse remind us things don’t always have to be big and bold to be admired. With so much variation in what we do at Gazamo we have to stay on our toes. One day it’s a quick little house that needs building, the next it’s a whole city.
Over the years we have built several ships, machines and a whole variety of contraptions. These bring our builds to life, adding little touches of extra flair.
On purpose or just for fun, we can’t help but enjoy these small creations.
Calastore remains one of our best loved projects - built for our public Minecraft server, A’therys Ascended.
Inspired by Venice and other parts of coastal Italy, this stunning construction continues to impress everyone who sees it. Equipped with a gigantic cathedral, government building and so much more, there is a lot to look at within this vast city.
We pride ourselves on our diverse approach to creative building. The ability to build anything from even the vaguest idea is a much sought after skill. From time to time we build game maps, either for others or ourselves. These can be very tricky as they require you to consider gameplay first and design second. Not the favoured approach of the creative! Regardless of constraint, we flourish at creating the best game maps the world of Minecraft and beyond, has seen.
The story of Monas Roth is steeped in agony and torment, so naturally enough our build has a certain twisted beauty to it. This city is inspired by the industrial revolution and Victorian England, with a sci-fi twist.
Narrow alleys, tall buildings and a grand train station are all parts of this delightfully dismal city. It is one to admire, but would you want to live there?
Another mega creation. Built for our server, A’therys Ascended. This build was a challenge because the style we were going for does not contain a lot of shape variation. Having talked about our endless creativity this seems like an odd thing to say. But that’s the wonder of Minecraft! Even with simple cubes we can still create something as spectacular as Qhul-Rahav. Despite a number of tricky build obstacles we completed this on time as our sixth large city.
Another of our famous cities built for A’therys, it also happens to be one of the biggest. As far as the story of the city goes, it is the home of Thesse, goddess of the wind. All of the main temple structures are open, free for the wind to blow through them. The city is designed to look lavish, clean and a monument to power and wealth. Bit like Trump Towers, but with style!
Our first ever mega build. Spread over nine months, we used nearly 200 million blocks to create a truly spectacular sprawling metropolis..
The desire to create is one of man's strongest motivators, and so it is for the Gazamo build team.
